Seventh Grade Summer Homework
To successfully start seventh grade, please complete the activities listed below.
Grade 7
Lang Arts 2 ADV
Students will read and annotate the novel, The Giver by Lois Lowry.
For each chapter of the novel, students should:

Write a one-sentence summary on the last page of every chapter.

Include two or more annotations per chapter that are fully explained in the margin. For a list of annotation options see the Annotation Guidelines link provided below.

Social Studies
Students will watch the following TedTalk videos. Respond to the quiz questions at the end of each video in complete sentences on college ruled line paper. This will be collected during the first week of school. You do not need to make an account to watch the videos.
There will be a discussion in class during the first week in the fall followed by a quiz.
