Sixth Grade Summer Homework
To successfully start sixth grade, please complete the activities listed below.
Lang Arts 1 ADV
Students will read and annotate a common book at each grade level. Students will complete post-reading activities within the first two weeks of school. These may include in-class writings, group discussions, and assessments.

Social Studies
Before there was Spiderman, Wonder Woman, or Ironman...there was Indra, Hindu king of gods, who battled a fearsome snake to save the world from drought. Athena, the powerful Greek goddess of wisdom who could decide the fate of battles before they even began. Okuninushi, the Japanese hero who defeated eighty brothers to become king and then traded it all for a chance at immortality.

​As students read and discover the gods and heroes of ancient times from cultures around the world they should complete a double-entry journal (see template below).

You can bring it to class during our Space Unit!
